A Graph Recreation in Tableau
Andy Kriebel discovered an attention-grabbing visualization and posted it on his Fb web page VizWiz. I made a decision to take a crack at recreating it in Tableau.
Unique graph is here.
This graph is a variation on a slope graph. Slope graphs are pretty straight ahead in Tableau as a result of it is a straight line from level a to level b and the dimensions of the road is straightforward. The form of the road on this visualization is a little more tough.
To recreate this form in Tableau I utilized the Sigmoid Operate: 1/(1+e(-x)))
Then I plotted the factors and used absolutely the worth of the utmost rank minus the minimal rank: dimension = ABS(Max-Min). I additionally used a customized coloration palette (sort= »ordered-sequential » for this categorical coloration scheme) and I used ColorPic to get the precise colours from the unique visualization.
The arduous a part of this visualization is establishing the information. As soon as that’s performed the plotting is fast and straightforward. Actually, it is really easy to plot it could possibly be a Tableau 3 minute video!
